How We Protect Your Data
In-Browser Processing
Your iPhone backup file is processed entirely in your browser using WebAssembly. The file never leaves your device during extraction — no upload to any server.
No Data Storage
Nothing is saved to any server or database. Your messages exist only in your browser session and are gone when you close the tab.
Automatic Anonymization
When you use AI analysis, all names, phone numbers, emails, and addresses are replaced with placeholders like [PERSON_1] before anything is sent. The real values are restored only in the results you see on your screen.
No Account Required
No login, no registration, no email collection. You don’t need to create an account to use TextEvidence Pro.
What Happens When You Use AI Analysis
You click Analyze
AI analysis is entirely optional. If you only extract, filter, and export messages, no data ever leaves your browser.
Anonymization runs automatically
Before anything is sent, the system scans your messages and replaces all personal identifiers — names become [PERSON_1], phone numbers become [PHONE_1], emails become [EMAIL_1], and addresses become [ADDRESS_1].
Anonymized text is sent for analysis
Only the anonymized version of your messages is sent to OpenAI’s API for analysis. OpenAI’s API data usage policy states that data sent through the API is not used to train their models.
Results are de-anonymized for you
The AI response comes back with placeholders, and the system restores the real names and numbers in the results you see on your screen. The real values never left your browser.
